Portfolio 2026 is the personal portfolio website created and used by Ko Yamasaki in 2026.
It is the direct predecessor of the 2027 encyclopedia version and is preserved as an earlier revision.
Overview[edit]
The 2026 site did not present research, projects, and profile information as a conventional card-based portfolio.
Instead, it used a more exploratory visual interface, including an airport X-ray scanner motif.

Design philosophy[edit]
Yamasaki wanted the portfolio itself to function as a work, not merely as a web resume.
Animations, scrolling, 3D effects, and interface metaphors were used actively. At the same time, visual presentation had to be balanced against the practical need to access research and project information.
Transition to the 2027 version[edit]
The 2027 version changed the information structure.
Instead of a portfolio landing page, it adopted the concept of an encyclopedia article system: research, projects, hobbies, games, and internet culture are treated as separate linked articles.
Archive[edit]
The 2026 version remains available as an archive rather than being overwritten.
This applies the encyclopedia idea of past revisions to the website itself.
Revision history[edit]
The shift from 2026 to 2027 is not only a design change. It changes the method of representing a person.
The 2026 version emphasized what Yamasaki made. The 2027 version emphasizes what is connected inside him.
